Media provided the textual, visual, and affective materials through which conspiracy theories take root. Within Black publics, print media has often served as a crucial space for debating, affirming, and contesting dominant discourses, offering a platform for subversive and counter-hegemonic ideas. The conspiracy discourse rooted in the notion of abortion as Black genocide exemplifies how media became a critical site for negotiating questions of reproductive rights, state violence, and racial survival.”
